Marketing Communications
for those with Purpose
We are now aware of human impacts on society and the natural world: carbon, waste, biodiversity loss, and more.
We know we must transition to reducing and eliminating our impacts, then going beyond to regeneration.
There are many organisations doing incredible work to refocus their operations, putting people, planet and purpose at the core of how they work.
Why I do what I do
I have always had a respect for and understanding of the natural world, and how we humans are an interconnected part of it. I am also passionate about future-proofing business and communities.
Through my work, I love sharing the stories of the amazing actions organisations are taking that then go on to inspire others, so that collectively we can have a huge and urgent impact to halt the climate crisis and build better societies.
This is why I’m a communications consultant!
I love working with those who want to accelerate change for all, who are focused on a better way of doing business and living on this wonderful planet. I help you to communicate with authenticity and share your Why!
Inspire and Create Impact — How I help
The combination of my experience is an ideal fit for the organisational transformation taking place right now: where positive impacts on the planet and society, while being profitable and efficient, are becoming mainstream, and driving huge opportunities and benefits to those on this trajectory.
With my knowledge and understanding, I can help you communicate your actions with authenticity, clarity and relatability to enhance your brand, raise your profile, and reinforce your values and purpose, while also navigating the complexities to avoid greenwashing and how to be confident to avoid green-hushing, so that collectively we can inspire others and have a wider impact.
START SMALL – How YOU CAN HELP
I will help you communicate the right messages, at the right time and in the right way around your plans, progress, Certifications and third-party endorsements, to bring credibility to your actions.
I can also help you take a strategic look at the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how they can relate to your organisation on a local level.
The UN SDGs are an urgent call for action by all countries – developed and developing – in a global partnership. They recognise that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.
I can help you relate these to a local level.
“saving our planet is now a communications challenge”.
Sir David Attenborough
What is the future?
We know we need to transition to a better way of working and living, but where do we start and how do we navigate reputational pitfalls?
By sharing the stages and experiences of your transition, you will inspire others to act.
Collectively, we will solve the problems, and we will future proof our organisations and our existence on this planet, working together with nature and for more resilient societies.
“Communications around climate change and action need to be relatable to real lives.”.

Recent work
How I have helped purpose led organisations with communications and wider marketing and profile raising.
This is a small sample from 2012 to 2024.
Bathurst Development, The Steadings
I lead on all community engagement, communications, events and press relations to help the local community visualise what life will be like on completion of the new neighbourhood at The Steadings, Cirencester.
Part of this role is helping illustrate the sustainability of the new neighbourhood through energy-efficient homes, sustainable travel options, biodiversity protection and gains, placemaking to ensure a great place to live and work, and connectivity to the wider community.

‘Future Proof Your Business’ Initiative
Working with the Cirencester Chamber of Commerce, I produced an information pack for local businesses to help them understand the wider context, the need for a new way of working and, more importantly, where they can start.
This was initially supported by a series of webinars, and in-person events.
Start with one small step and it will soon build into something incredible that will future proof your organisation and feed back into the local economy and the wider world.

Ensuring Accessible EV Charging
I have led on all communications, PR and event activities to raise awareness of the need to include disabled people in the transition to electric vehicles.
The team at charity Designability have produced free design guidance – formed by extensive user-engagement with disabled people – to help the electric vehicle charging industry ensure accessibility.
The guidance was launched at the Houses of Parliament with the new BSI standard.
I led on:
- Key messaging and approach
- Media engagement and secured national and trade coverage
- Event and exhibition identification, management and delivery
- Industry outreach and engagement
- Collaboration with partner charity, Motability Foundation.

Planet Mark — Head of Marketing
While leading the team at sustainability certification company, Planet Mark, on all marketing and communications deliverables, I also led Planet Mark through a full rebrand and launch. I then went on to devise the Zero Carbon Tour.
With the aim to raise the profile of the company and to help SMEs with understanding what Net Zero is and how to plan to achieve it. I delivered on initial conception through to communications deliverables, including:
- Media relations with PR agency
- Event communications and registrations
- Case study capture
- Storytelling.
We took a fully electric coach (the Carbon Battle Bus) across the UK, from G7 to COP26 (Eden Project in Cornwall to Glasgow), over three months, to demonstrate the need for a net zero transition and uncover the work organisations are doing.
We partnered with UN-backed Race to Zero and Together For Our Planet Campaigns.
Across 125 locations, we engaged with over 8,000 people in 45 towns and cities in the UK.
Achieving hundreds of regional and national media coverage: online, print, trade, national newspapers, regional radio, regional TV and national TV.
Securing Sponsorship
I worked with Electroflight – who had a vision for developing a racing electric plane to beat the electric air-speed record.
My profile-raising work helped them secure sponsorship from Rolls Royce. This became the Accel Project: Spirit of Aviation.
I delivered:
- Website copy
- Social media content
- Press and media
- Sponsor pitch documentation

A small selection of recommendations from people I have worked with.
